Life as an Expressive

Survey results showed that I am a mostly Expressive person but I show qualities of other people's styles. On the graph below the red dot represents what I rate myself. The blue dots represent what people rated me with green being the average of peers. I tend to rate myself as more responsive and less assertive than the average but there is a wide spread. I did get hints of being a driver by some of my resondants shwoing that im not a perfect expressive.

Expressives tend to be the enthusiastic arm of the team. They like to keep the ball rolling not in a traditional sense but by encouraging others and bringing energy to the team. Expressions are more imaginative and have more unique ideas than some counterparts. We look to the future when making decisions.

For instance I bring energy to the class at eight in the morning to help encourage those around me. I smile when I can as it makes people better when working in groups. I also like to get to know my teammates.

What Words Describe Me

I rated myself with many words like easy-going, social, experimental, and a problem solver. My peers also agreed with me, especially on easy-going and problem solver.

Engaging in Feedback

I have received numerous amounts of feedback by my team and other members of the class. I have learned to take feedback seriously and to not be afraid of receiving OR giving it out to others. I learned that by giving out more feedback i was able to better process feedback when given to me by my peers.

Feedback has been helpful to show me that i need to be more useful with my hands when presenting. I also need to be careful with pauses mid sentence making it seem like i do not know what I talk about. I have been able to work on these pieces of feedback because i opened up to it.

Growth Moving Foward

I am constantly looking for ways to improve my skills and abilites by having a growth mindset. My persona partner and me have both been invested in making sure we are constantly growing throughout this class, but also HOW to grow. We recognized the need to be able to take feedback were given and apply it effectylvy so we properly grow. I make sure to have an open mind where i let other peoples ideas flow into me, like with my project group.
